Review: Teleteach for Profit – Marcia Yudkin's course on creating and delivering high-impact teleseminars.

When Marcia suggested I look through a copy of this course, I must admit I felt a little bad about accepting the review copy. Why? Because I was already thinking about learning more about conducting teleseminars...and suddenly I was being offered a free copy of what's probably the best course out there.

I'm not going to go into a great deal of detail about the step-by-step contents of the course. Marcia does a fine job of that on her own information and sales page.

But I do want to talk a little about the value of the course, and why it makes sense to learn about teleseminars.

Why would you even want to know about how to create teleseminars?

There are all kinds of ways in which you can benefit from conducting teleseminars, whether you’re a lone entrepreneur, or have a marketing job in a company.

First, you can use them as a lead-generation tool. Invite prospects to call in and listen to an hour of in-depth information about what matters most to them.

And if you don't feel you are expert enough to offer that kind of value, simply invite one or more true experts to take part and interview them. As Marcia mentions a few times, the "interview an expert" style of teleseminar is one of the easiest to create and has a very high perceived value.

Second, you can create a membership-based seminar series for existing clients or prospects. Again, you invite experts to take part and then cement the relationship you have with your clients because you are consistently helping them do their jobs by delivering valuable and useful information.

Third, you can create teleseminars which are valuable enough to sell...either as downloads or as sets of CDs.

The thing about teleseminars is that they are incredibly simple for you to create and for your listeners to enjoy. All people need is a phone line.

Unlike with webinars, people don't need to be online with broadband connections in order to participate. And from your point of view, it is MUCH easier to create a value-packed teleseminar than it is to create a webinar.

And if you think that the teleseminar, sound-only format is boring compared to a webinar, ask yourself this question...why are Podcasts so popular right now?

People really appreciate the simplicity and portability of the voice-only format. (I listened to Marcia's course while cycling. I downloaded the whole thing to my iPod.)

What's included in the Teleteach course?

As I mentioned, you can go to Marcia's page for the full details.

But here's the broad outline...

Class1: Business models

Class 2: Nut and bolts of how to do it

Class 3: Marketing and promotion of your teleseminars

Class 4: Product creation, packaging and delivery

Class 5: A bonus session on preloading audio players with your content

The bulk of the course is made up of a collection of CDs. This course was first given live, as a series of teleseminars. So you will be listening to hour after hour of instruction.

There are a total of 12 CDs, plus a bonus DVD about podcasting.

One thing I really appreciate is the accompanying manual. During the course of the seminars Marcia mentions numerous sources for the kinds of services you might need when delivering, recording, marketing, selling and packaging your seminars. But don't worry about trying to remember everything she says, because all those resources are in the manual.

Does the course teach you everything you need to know?

That's a good question, because many course descriptions make big promises, but under-deliver and leave you having to looking for more information elsewhere.

Not so with this course. You'll learn all you need to know, and a whole lot more.

What Marcia does in this course is provide layer after layer of information.

The first layer gives you the bare necessities. But what you'll find with her no-nonsense, hype-free approach is that she is constantly sharing layer after layer of new information.

After going through her course I now feel totally qualified to create, market and deliver my own teleseminars.

She has taught me everything I need to know.

And that's exactly what a quality course should achieve.

Here's where you can learn more about Marcia's Teleteach for Profit Course...
